The Chapel Hill Academy High School program serves students in grades 9-12.
Our High School program is designed to provide our students with a full and comprehensive secondary education program while continuing to provide emotional, behavioral and social supports that facilitate each student’s learning.
Following the NJ Student Learning Standards, the academic curriculum is diverse and educationally rich, and meets New Jersey state requirements for graduation.
Our objective is to prepare each student for the transition into adulthood, in a college or job setting, with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
100% of Chapel Hill Academy graduates leave with a post secondary plan that includes further training, education, and work. The PSAT, SAT, and ASVAB assessments are offered to all students. Educere online courses are offered to students to enhance their academic program as needed. Students may also take classes within their sending districts.
English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies programs are similar to traditional four-year curriculums and ensure the opportunity to be prepared for post-secondary education. Science classes also offer a lab period within their curriculum. All four courses have recently adopted new editions of the most up-to-date textbooks. Field trips are planned often to accompany particular units in an effort to boost learning. Classes are often taught in various settings throughout the school.
In the event students need additional academic support or remedial instruction, they may work directly with our Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant (LDTC) or our Reading Specialist for additional help.
Technology includes Promethean Boards, laptop computers and iPads to enrich the academic curriculum and facilitate interactive learning experiences among students and teachers.
Students in our high school program may also pursue the following certificates of completion to assist them in preparing for in-demand careers:
Physical Education/Health, Career Exploration, Art, Music, World Language and Driver’s Education (the written section) are all additions to our high school core curriculum that aims to provide each student with a well-rounded education.
