Chapel Hill Academy’s Extended School Year (ESY) program provides for a full 30 days of additional instruction beyond the regular academic year, during the summer months.
Chapel Hill Academy is proud to offer our students an opportunity to participate in the Extended School Year Program. Eligibility is IEP driven and based on preventing the regression of academic, behavioral, emotional or social skills.
Each summer, Chapel Hill Academy introduces a school-wide theme that connects academic, social, and emotional elements of the ESY program. Our six-week summer program provides a structured, safe, and deeply engaging environment where every student can thrive. We focus on a holistic approach to summer learning, blending essential skill-building with the joy of summertime fun. We believe learning shouldn’t stop when the school year ends, but it should feel different. Our academic sessions are highly individualized to meet each student’s unique IEP goals and learning style. Summer is all about fun, and our activities are adapted to ensure everyone can participate fully and comfortably. We provide a safe, encouraging space for students to step outside their comfort zones and explore the world around them.
