Chapel Hill Academy is an Approved Private School for students with learning, social, emotional and behavioral issues, in grades Kindergarten through twelfth grade.

For over 35 years, Chapel Hill Academy has been successfully helping students with learning, social, emotional and behavioral issues to progresss academically, gain maturity and confidence, and grow socially.
Our curriculum follows the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards, and is individually tailored to meet the needs of each student to leverage his or her strengths for success. Our certified and highly qualified teaching staff provides hands-on academic learning opportunities in a school-wide atmosphere of support and caring.
Our Elementary School program uses a multi-sensory teaching approach in every classroom to ensure academic progress. Our Elementary students are provided a full and comprehensive educational program, with a focus on emotional, behavioral and social needs that are so critical for younger students’ growth.
In addition to a rich curriculum of academic study, our Middle and High School students are offered a variety of career exploration opportunities, college prep classes and social events.
Peer tutoring, peer counseling, student council, sports teams, a music studio and full art program are just a few of our additional offerings.
Advanced and remedial classes are offered and monitored by our Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant and Reading Specialist. Students that have significant academic needs can be scheduled for remedial instruction with our Learning Disabilities Teacher or our Reading Specialist.
Our student supports are available to all students and include 8 counselors in 3 counseling offices, and a positive points system to help manage behavior. Social skills learning is infused throughout our curriculum and in weekly Social Skills classes.
