Technology plays an important role in instruction for all students at Chapel Hill Academy.
Every classroom is fitted with a Promethean board, an interactive learning tool that facilitates exciting interactive learning, and promotes classroom cohesiveness. Teachers are able to present lessons in an interactive fashion, and students are able to work together to strengthen their subject knowledge and the use of technology for learning.
All students, K-12, are one-to-one with Chromebooks. These Chromebooks are linked through Google and utilize Google Classroom, sheets, docs, slides and other various educational tools.
Students are able to practice everything from basic keyboarding skills to creating presentations that showcase their academic achievements. Student devices are also used in concert with Promethean Board instruction, and students are able to follow their teachers’ instruction on their individual devices.
Internet access is available in all classrooms and throughout the school, and instruction includes the appropriate use of internet resources for reseach and learning.
Classroom technology is used in appropriate measure with traditional individual and group teaching strategies to maximize learning for each student.
